6/14/17 Athletic 6-foot-3, 180-pound frame, long lever, athletic build, room to add strength and size. Athletic delivery with smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square, and finishes athletic. Long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and easy effort. Fastball sat 82-86 mph with cutting action and showed ability to control the fastball. Breaking ball showed 10/4 shape with sharp break, average spin, fastball arm speed and solid depth at 70-73 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and cutting action at 72-74 mph.
11/10/19: 6-foot-4, 210-pound long, athletic framed junior with room to hold more weight. Works from the stretch only with a simple repeatable delivery with slight cross-fire direction. Clean, medium arm action into a slot with easy arm speed. Showed average command of a 93-96 mph fastball with quality life-ball jumps out of his hand with good arm-side run. Two-pitch reliever with feel for spin, flashing a 78-80 mph slider with quality depth for swing and miss to both left and right-handed hitters. (Sofio)
8/22/19: The power-armed Tulane product enjoyed a very loud summer for the Firebirds, working 13 scoreless innings and striking out 24 batters in the process. Pellerin utilized a big 92-95 mph heater as his primary offering, leveraging solid extension and good ride to produce uncomfortable at bats – particularly to same-side hitters. He struggles at times to execute his hard curve, but it is a workable second weapon, serving to disrupt timing, and change eye levels. This past spring, Pellerin was undone by a self-destructive 10.5 BB/9 rate despite limiting hitters to a .170 average over his 26.2 innings of work and striking out 38. Walks continued to haunt Pellerin in his 13 appearances for Orleans, thewith the righty posting a 9.0 BB/9, though he was consistently able to work out of danger via strikeout and very soft contact (.167 BAA). The Green Wave reliever projects as a Day Two target but will need to do a better job of finding the strike zone and consistently executing his curve in order to get MLB clubs to buy into a pure relief profile. Small strides in those areas, however, could bump his stock in a hurry. (Faleris)
