He uses an aggressive approach at the plate, gets the barrel on plane, and looks to drive the ball with some natural lift in his swing. He recorded a 93 mph exit velocity during BP. Defensively, Fitz shows good catch-and-throw ability, highlighted by a very quick transfer and release. He shows 80 mph arm strength from the crouch, and that, coupled with the quick release, has produced 1.90-1.96 workout pop times. Fitz has established himself as the top catcher in Kentucky's 2023 class.
