You’d be hard pressed to find many uncommitted ‘21 guys with his combination of raw strength and bat speed at the plate. Uses a smooth, simple leg kick to get things flowing before accelerating the bat through the zone. Path plays with some loft to it, allowing him to lift the ball naturally. Doesn’t get cheated up there, taking some electric swings. As a defender he shows a capable skill set at third base and the outfield.
6/6/18 Really impressed with Jason and his hit tool. Starts in a balanced setup prior to getting into leg kick timing trigger. Swing is compact on a nice, level path. Generates big time bat speed through with strength not being far behind. Drove the ball with authority in BP and smoked a few balls in game. Looked to be able to see spin in game. Worked out at third base, showing a big arm across the infield. Bright future for the young gun out of Kentucky. 60-yard dash: 7.49 Infield Velocity: 85 Exit Velocity: 91
