6/15/16 - Max FB: 81, FB: 80-81, CB: 65-67
6-foot-1, 185-pound LHP with athletic frame, works through an over the top arm slot with some effort in delivery, occasionally lands open and falls off third base side, shows the ability to throw strikes with his two-pitch mix, fastball showed occasional arm-side run, has good feel for his curveball with solid 1/7 action and some depth, allowed two hits with no walks in his one inning of work. Lawson has made very noticeable improvements since we last saw him, both in velocity and with his curveba
60 Time: 7.33, Position Velocity:  IF-74, Exit Velocity: 84
As a position player, LHH hits from a balanced and narrow stance with a mid-length stride, has an uphill swing path that generates some lift and shows pull side power, took a solid round of BP showing above average bat speed, went 0-for-3 in game play. Athletic first baseman with good hands and feet around the bag, made accurate throws. Lawson’s left-handed power is intriguing.
6/16/15 - 6-foot, 182-pounds, works through a high-3/4 slot with regular effort, opens front side early on occasion and falls off third base side, fastball shows occasional cut action at 75-77 mph, has a tendency to get under 61-64 mph curveball leaving it up, shows gradual 12/6 action, allowed a bunt single and struck out one (looking on fastball) in his one inning of work, has potential and is a left-handed arm to keep an eye on.  As a position player, left-handed hitter hits from a tall stance, leg kick trigger with a long stride, short swing path, line drive type hitter, 82 mph exit velocity, ran 4.62 down the line, went 1-for-3 in game play with a solid single to right field. Shows some athleticism defensively, soft hands, moves well around the first base bag, 75 mph velocity across the infield, accurate throws.
