5-foot-10, 165-pound catcher (2019, Tates Creek HS) impressed in all facets of his game at the Preseason All-State Showcase. Burgess showed quick hands in whipping the barrel through the zone as he repeatedly drove the baseball hard to the gaps. He posted a 92 mph exit velocity off the tee, and showed big arm strength behind the plate at 80 mph with 1.90-1.96 pop times.
