Second-year sophomore with huge upside and a 6-foot-7, 220-pound frame. Fastball ranges from 89-93 and will touch 94 with plus arm side run. Also possesses a slider and changeup. His 78-83 mph slider tunnels well off his fastball and arrives at the plate with hard bite and late movement. The changeup arrives at 80-82 with good sink and arm side fade. It also tunnels very well off his fastball as he repeats his motion really well making all his pitches look very similar out of the hand.
Imposing 6-foot-7, 220 pound frame on the mound. Long arm action. High-3/4 slot. Has been up to 89 this summer, working 86-88 with a mostly straight fastball. The slider is an intriguing pitch at 79-81 that generated some swing and miss with short/late break. Has ability to throw 80 mph changeup for strikes. Continues to get better each time we see him but certainly has not reached his ceiling yet.
Big 6-foot-7, 220 pound RHP continues to improve each time we see him. Just scratching the surface of his potential. Long/loose arm action. High 3/4 slot. Fastball works 86-88, occasional downhill plane. The 79-81 mph slider has become an out pitch with late break that produces swing and miss. Flashed a solid changeup at 80 mph. Will elevate fastball in two-strike counts. Fastball spin rate maxed at 2247 and slider at 2401. McMichael should have no problem adding velocity moving forward.
