2/11/18 - 60 Time: 7.19, Position Velocity: IF-85, Exit Velocity: 85 6-foot, 155-pound RHH recorded personal bests in infield velocity and exit velocity. Wiry frame with projection. Long stride at the plate. Swing looks looser and has progressed since we first saw him. Noticeable improvement in bat speed. Line drive, gap to gap type hitter. Premium defender with athletic actions. Makes plays look easy with good footwork and ability to throw from different angles. Arm strength plays well at SS. Combination of position/pitcher ability make Lucas a highly-ranked 2020 prospect. Max FB: 85, FB: 83-85, CB: 69-73, CH: 77-80

8/4/17 - PBR Future Games: Lucas’ work at the PBR Future Games solidified him as one of the top players in the 2020 class. He has a wiry-athletic, 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame that looks like he is destined to play the middle infield. However, it is his work on the mound that will have recruiters buzzing, and he utilizes the athleticism he has to change angles on all of his pitches while featuring a whippy, quick arm. Up to 86 mph at the Future Games, there is much more in the tank for Lucas whose natural slot is more high ¾ . He features two breaking balls including a curveball (70-71) with downward action that he throws from a high ¾ slot, and a sweeping slider (72-74) which he drops to a lower ¾ slot. He will have success in the future at either slot because his arm quickness will play. Given his ability to throw from a ¾ slot, he may end up sticking there for the majority of pitches, as he will have a chance to sink his fastball easier. Overall, Lucas has a higher ceiling that he should continue to reach rapid pace as he matures and adds strength to his frame.
7/5/17 - Max FB: 86, FB: 83-86, CB: 71-74, CH: 77 5-foot-11, 150-pound RHP, slender frame with room to fill out. Arm quickness immediately stands out. Fastball jumps out of hand and has natural run and sink from a 3/4 to high-3/4 slot, breaking ball is sharp with some depth and produces swings and misses, showed some feel for change. Overall, Lucas has a higher ceiling that he should continue to reach rapid pace as he matures and adds strength to his frame. Home-1st: 4.65, Position Velocity: IF-84, Exit Velocity: 75 Showed well defensively with athletic actions and good arm strength from the left side of the infield. Hands play well. Good body control. Takes a long stride at the plate, can get extended on front side, swing can get long and work uphill. Should continue to see improvements offensively with maturity and strength gains.
