5-foot-11, 195-pound RHH hits from a balanced stance, short stride, engages strong lower half well, good extension in swing and ball jumps off the barrel, has power potential, went 1-for-3 in game play with a double to RF and a walk. Athletic defender at third base with good actions, soft hands and good lateral movement, short high-3/4 release with accurate throws and some arm strength. Runion has solid tools and is a player to keep a close eye on.

2/8/20: Runion stood out this weekend at the plate for Walters State. The 6-foot, 225 pound outfielder produced by using the whole field and showcased his ability to drive the ball from foul pole to foul pole. He loads early and keeps the upper body still, only using the hands and backside to fire to the baseball. He can get into chase mode when he falls behind in the count, but the ability to hit the fastball is what makes Runion dangerous. He also showed a plus arm in right field and soft hands fielding ground balls at the hot corner during I/O. He is committed to Texas Tech and will fit right in with the bats and body types they have become known for.
