1/19/14 - 5-foot-10, 205-pound prospect with strong lower half and physical frame, shows solid receiving and blocking skills, room for improved glove to hand transfer and release, 72 mph arm strength from the crouch with pop times ranging from 2.08-2.14.  At the plate, hits from an open and tall setup and squares front side with a short stride, good balance throughout, shows raw strength in swing, ran 5.13 down the first base line, 80 mph tee exit velocity, solid 2016 prospect.  On the mound, uses short and quick arm action through a high ¾ to over the top arm slot, lands closed, fastball sat 75-76 mph with good arm-side run on two-seamer, showed good command of 64-67 mph curveball with 11/5 action, throws changeup with good arm action at 67-70 mph with some sink and fade, also throws a 68-70 mph slider that shows late bite.
