10/22/17 - Hoefer is a strong 6-foot 179-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2020 class.  He ran a 7.26 60 and a 4.95 home to first.  He has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, repeatable load, short in line stride, consistent contact gap to gap, had manipulate the bat. In the outfield, 82 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, fluid actions to the ball, plays through the catch, long arm circle, fluid footwork in sync with transfer, mostly accurate throws. At the plate, balanced stance, short stride, slight uphill bat path, showed contact to all fields during batting practice.  In the outfield, 80 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, works behind the ball the and through the catch, clean transfer, fluid footwork, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Hoefer has a high three quarters arm slot, controlled tempo and rhythm, athletic finish, in line stride, fastball at 73-77 mph, works both sides of the plate, curveball at 60-62 mph, gradual 12-to-6 action.
