Jacob Becker: RHP, (2021) Shawnee Heights, KS. 6-foot-1, 175-pound lean frame. Solid on the mound, used an over-the-top arm angle with a long arm action while showing consistent arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses some effort. During his delivery balance point is tall with even shoulders. Lands open with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-80 mph and topped out at 82 mph; keeps its plane and is commanded in the zone. Threw a 12/6 curveball (64-66) with some action. His changeup (73-73) shows slight action.
Becker is a 6-foot-1 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, right handed pitcher and third baseman in Kansas’ 2021 class. He ran a 6.99 60 and a 5.02 home to first. He had an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, leg kick with quick tempo, in line stride, level path with some lift at finish, swing produced middle to pull side line drives. In the outfield, high three quarters arm slot, works behind the ball, creates momentum after the catch, small crow hop, clean transfer, accurate throws, 85 mph positional velocity. On the infield, 83 mph positional velocity, fields ball in athletic position, clean transfer, long arm circle, over the top arm slot, controlled feet with momentum to throw, accurate throws.
