Holding some strength in a proportional, 6-foot-2, 190 pound frame, Newman showed very good balance within a simple right-handed swing. Newman reached a peak exit velocity of 91.1 mph, averaging 86.5 mph, controlling line drive ball flight to the middle of the diamond.
