6/11/19

5-foot-9, 170-pound SS / 2B. Left-handed hitter who starts in an open stance with high hands. uses rhythm in his hands to create timing and bat tilt to stay in the zone longer; has a big load, a level swing path and a high, two-handed finish; 80 mph exit velocity. In the field, shows clean glove work, moves well laterally and has a strong throw across the diamond; 81 mph position velocity.

4/15/2019 Spring Scout Blog: 5-foot-9, 170 pound frame. Solid defender. Nothing flashy, but sound defender with enough arm strength to stay on the left-side at the next level. Left-handed hitter shows good rhythm in the swing. Compact swing with short load, creates separation.

2/16/2019: Trey Anderson, SS/2B, Westfield HS, 2020, 5 foot 9, 170 pounds, hits from the left side in a balanced set up. Has a short load and creates separation with good barrel angle to get on plane. Max exit velo was 86, and Trey ran a 7.36. Defensively has nice hands and good arm strength out of a short arm action. Feet need to speed up to coincide with arm quickness.  I like the short left handed stroke at the plate.

5-foot-9, 165 pound left-handed hitting shortstop has an open, balanced setup.  Leg kick into big hand load.  Lands slightly closed, quick barrel turn.  Long, level path to contact.  Line drive approach.  Ability to use all fields.  High exit velocity of 84mph.  Defensively, Anderson has quick, fluid footwork and a funnel transfer.  Short, quick arm action.  High 3/4 slot.  Throws topped 80 across the infield.
