2/19/17: 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. Offensively, the RHH hits from a wide/crouch setup. Smooth load back, no stride. Average bat speed, level swing plane. Shows some stiffness in the lower half. Maintains balance throughout the swing. Displayed some pull-side power potential during his BP round. Registered a high exit velocity of 90 mph.
9/20/15: Strong, physical 6-foot-1, 180 pounder shows good athleticism with quick feet and a clean arm action while popping 2.10-2.16 with velocity of 75. Needs to work on being quicker and more direct with transfer. Very quiet when receiving, great stance with soft hands. Offensively, hits from a crouch type setup, loads back. Stride is short with average use of his lower half. Good balance throughout the swing. Possesses good bat speed with the ability to get to extension. Consistently barreled up the baseball showing gap-to-gap power. Recorded a high exit velocity of 86 mph.
4/14/15 GAME NOTES: 2018 catching prospect stands 6-foot and is strong for a freshman. Behind the plate receives the ball confidently with soft hands and good footwork. Arm is average and long but will improve with age and experience behind the dish. Pop times of 2.4 and 2.35. Throws on target. At the plate uses a slightly open stance with a short load and stride. Good balance and above average bat speed. Sound technique offensively makes the RHH a consistent singles and doubles hitter who will be counted on to drive in runs as he gets stronger. Worth following over the next three years.
