Hit: Starts in a tall stance with a compact load, then uses a quick stride to start his swing. Quick bat speed.
Power: 87 mph exit velocity. up the middle approach.
Defense: Infield, Sure hands, consistent footwork, quick exchange. Confident.
Arm: 76 Infield velocity. Loose arm action, ¾ slot.
Speed: 7.51
Pitching: Smooth. Over-the-top arm angle, good arm speed, consistent arm action. Strong balance point, even shoulders, lands soft, a clean finish.
FB: T81. 80-81 mph. Cutting action, consistent accuracy.
CB: 68-69 mph. Gradual action, low in the zone command, movement.
CH: 70-72 mph. Gradual action, around the zone control.
University High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-10, 157-pound 3B/RHP. At the plate, the switch hitter clocked an exit velocity of 84 mph. Starts in a tall, even stance; uses a stride toward the pitcher and a high elbow to create his level swing path. While in the infield, he recorded position velocities up to 75 mph. Showed good glovework in the field. Had some raw actions and threw from a ¾ slot. During the event, he recorded a 60 time of 7.79. On the mound, showed a short arm action and threw from a ¾ angle. His curveball had some slurve type action and showed good depth. Created multiple ground ball outs while showing strikeout ability as well. He sat with his fastball at 72-75 mph with a max of 75 mph. Showed the ability to locate his curveball for a strike at 60-62 mph.
