Sam Bond: C/RHP, (2023) East Central, IN. 5-foot-10, 195-pound mature frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 91 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a small quick load, then uses a leg kick. Bat speed was above average, and had an upward swing plane. Laterally, his movements were average. While catching, his best position velocity throwing to second was registered at 73 mph; has a clean exchange, soft hands, and average feet. Had quick feet and transfers on his throw downs, recording a 1.96-2.05 pop time. Clean setup with average flexibility. On the mound, sat with his fastball at 86-88 mph; has running action and arm side control. Threw a 11/5 curveball (72-73) with plus action. His changeup (80-83) showed arm side control and fading action.

Body Type: 6-foot, 200-pound young solid frame. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: On time arm action. With a good feel for lower half. Would project a strong delivery within a few years. Fastball: 68-72 mph. Curveball: 54-55 mph with 12/6 movement. Pitchability: Once delivery becomes repeatable command should not be an issue. Additional Comments: Very projectable frame that can develop into a prospect.
Body Type: 6-foot, 200-pound young solid frame. Swing Mechanics: Sets up in a wide base. Barrel works slightly uphill. Hit: Consistently found the barrel. Tendency to get around the ball some. Mostly pull with a little loft on the ball. Power: Little power/pop at this stage. 72 mph exit velocity. Offensive Projection: Multiple roles. Run: 5.08 H to 1st. Field: Good footwork, stays low coming out of crouch. Will need to improve quickness of his release. Throw: 65 mph on throws from behind the plate Defensive Projection: Mechanically sound. Should be able to stay behind the plate. Additional Comments: Very sound defensively behind the plate. Will need to improve overall hitting ability and arm strength moving forward.
