Large framed body athlete. Strong features as hands and arms are powerful. Good shoulders to grow through. Powerful legs. Started swing with a wide base, high hands with bat slightly tilted with a high wrap. He let the ball get deep in hit zone. Late trigger as timing was off at times. Slight crossfire barrel on front side. Barrel sweeps low to ball. Has good raw power in swing. Timing will have to incorporate more consistently. Get more hip turn and transfer to front side with his hips. All things correctable. Guilfoy displayed accurate arm and athletic instincts to play defense. Throws had carry to them. Can play both corner spots. Power in future is projected. Agility and body control was good on defense. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash.

Owen Guilfoy: 3B/SS, (2022) Center Grove, IN. 6-foot-1, 175-pound solid frame. At the plate, the Guilfoy had an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in a wide stance with a smooth wrapping load, then uses a short stride right before his swing. Had raw bat speed and a short a level swing plane. Found some barrels in his rounds. A line drive approach. While in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 79 mph; had sure hands. Used a short arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.43.
2/23/2019: Owen Guilfoy, 3B/SS, Center Grove HS, 2022, 6 foot, 165 pounds, ran a 7.49, threw 71 mph across the diamond, and had an exit velocity of 83 mph at this event. Uses early hand load and small leg lift to get to launch. Barrel is flat at launch and swing is flat through the zone. Does have athleticism in the box and projects to have bat speed. Feet move well at 3B, but throws from a low slot which effects carry across the diamond.
7/24/18: 2022 INF/RHP hits from the right side. Tall setup in the box. Uses leg lift as trigger. Bat path is level through the zone. Showed ability to lift some baseballs to the gaps. Line drive type approach. Posted an exit velo of 73. In the field showed fluid footwork and clean exchange. Arm strength across the diamond was 68. On the mound pitches from ¾ arm slot and in the stretch. Hands separate and ball tucks behind hip with slight stab action. Short arm stroke in delivery. FB sat 74-77. CB showed gradual break at 61-64.
