2/21/15:  6-foot-1, 220 pounds, strong, thick frame. Behind the dish sits low in stance behind the plate.  Average blocker.  Solid defender at 3B with average hands.  Moves well for his size, plays through the ball.  Long, ¾ arm action across the diamond at 78 mph.  At the plate starts open and loads back.  Stride is short.  Tendency to fly open.  Long, uphill path to the baseball.  Pull-side hitter.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 89 mph.   

7/29/14: 6 foot, 215 pounds, 8.34/60, L/R, 2.05- 2.15 pop time. Has soft hands and moves well behind the plate, throws are 76 mph and on target to second base with carry. Hits from a slightly open stance with a short stride and quick hands through the zone. At 3b he displayed athleticism and had a good feel for that position.
