Ran a 7.76 60-yard dash.

Nick Bassi: 3B/RHP, (2022) Cathedral, IN. 6-foot-2, 190-pound projectable frame. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 87 mph. Started in a tall open stance with a quick load, then used a small leg kick to initiate his swing. Has Uphill swing plane and good extension on his finish. Through his round he found some barrels. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 83 mph; has smooth feet and Soft hands. Showed a loose arm action on his throws. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.96. Athletic on the mound, showed a high ¾ angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher and shows some effort. Lands square with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 81-83 mph. Threw a 2/8 curveball (67-70) with consistent control. His changeup (77-78) showed running action.

Stiffness throughout swing. Slapped a lot of baseballs to the opposite parts of the field. In the INF showed heavy footwork not a lot of fluid actions. Did play through the baseball. Exchange was clean and arm was average across the diamond for age at 68. On the mound pitches from high ¾ arm slot. Average speed with a loose short arm stroke. Tended to lean towards 1B at balance point. Quicker tempo to the plate. Falls off to 1B in upright position on finish. FB was 70-72. CB showed potential for age at 60-62 with some late bite at times. Kept same arm speed on CH as well with some action at 64-65.
