6/25/14: 6-foot-1 inch, 185 pounds, 2.04-2.14 pop times, 76 from the crouch. Good setup defensively.  Short ¾ arm thrower always on target with average hands. With the bat he has a slight top hand wrap with a long stride and path to the ball. Exit Velo of 85 mph.

2/22/14:
6-foot-2, 195 pound junior was 2.04-2.18 with his pop times at the event. Veatch has improved his arm strength from previous events, now at 76 mph.  Showcased a good setup with average receiving skills.  At the plate starts open with a big leg kick.  Stride is long.  Possesses above average bat speed and squares up the baseball consistently.  Across the diamond was 74 mph with average hands and feet.  Plays through the baesball well.

10/19/13:
6-foot-2, 190 pound catcher has added a lot strength since the last time we saw him.  Offensively starts slightly open with a small leg kick.  Swing plane is inconsistent but does show some projectable power.  Behind the plate shows a good setup, but can get a little high when receiving.  Athletic with average arm.  Needs to continue to improve receiving skills.  Pop times were 2.11-2.17 and 71 mph behind the plate.

Across the diamond from 3B was 70 mph.  Needs to improve on playing through the ball.  Projects more as a catcher.

6/5/12: Veatch is a 6-foot-1, 180 pound C/3B from North Central HS.  Veatch was 67 mph from the crouch and was a 2.12-2.17 with his pop times.  He shows the ability to block the ball well, keeping it in front.  Across the diamond he was 72 mph.  At the plate Veatch shows an up-right approach and starts his hands high.  He showed the ability to take the ball up the middle well.
