8/5/16 FUTURE GAMES: The 6-foot, 180-pounder was a late addition to Indiana’s roster and he certainly made the most of the opportunity. Dunkelberger has a long, loose, athletic arm and showed feel for a with a three-pitch mix that included an 85-86 mph fastball that topped at 87. He also showed feel for his 72-74 slurve and a 75-mph changeup.
2/28/15: 5-foot-10, 155 pounds. Mature and athletic player. Showcased the ability to control three pitches and pounds the strike zone with a long ¾ arm slot and an up tempo/repeatable delivery. Possesses quick arm speed and smooth rhythm in the delivery. Fastball was 80-82, up to 83 mph with some arm side run and consistently down in the zone. Sweeping curveball is 64-66 mph. High projectability and follow in the 2018 class.
9/21/14: An impressive 5-foot-9, 146 pound southpaw up to 81 with his fastball. Fastball was hard with some sink and consistently in the zone. Pitches from a ¾ slot with a quick, loose arm. Smooth rhythm and easy effort in the delivery. Repeats delivery well. Breaking ball was 68-69 with depth while the changeup sat 66-69. The left-handed outfielder showcased a strong arm with carry at 85 mph. Footwork quick and fluid with above average actions overall. The LHH starts from a crouch position. Stride is short with average bat speed. Swing plane is level and shows good balance throughout.
