The 6-foot, 170-pound prospect. His fastball showed good life to it and really jumped out of his hand at 77-81 mph. His changeup was an above average secondary offering that had hard bite arm side and down at 69-72 mph. His curveball was a work in progress at 62-65 mph and will get better as he develops a feel for it. Lantz will be a good arm to follow as he matures. In the outfield ball skills are on par for his class. Plays under control with average footwork. Long arm through high ¾ slot. A righty swinger that starts in a in a tall setup. Fluid, athletic load followed by a balanced launch. Slightly downhill path with a balanced offering of strength and speed through the zone. Finds plane well and can accelerate through contact. Gap pop with the ability to use the whole field. Solid round.

7/11/17: 60 Time: 7.49, Position Velocity: INF-74, Exit Velocity: 77. 5-foot-11, 155 pound sophomore has an athletic, wiry frame with more strength to fill out. Hits from athletic base, slightly open to start with small foot lift to load and close. Uses a choppy hand load to create small separation in swing, barrel flattens behind the head. Barrel works in a level flat bat path through the zone producing line drives to all fields. More strength to be developed in lower half of swing. Good skill set and instincts in the field, plays low and through the baseball. Glove works out front, loose, low ¾ arm action. More strength to be developed, better footwork to create angles.
PITCHING: loose arm action with above average arm speed. Fastball shows occasional run and sink at 76-78. Breaking ball was 11/5 shape with gradual action sitting 63-67. CH is thrown with fastball arm speed at 71-72 with ASR and fade. Loose arm, shows potential on the bump.
