2/22/15: A 5-foot-11, 185 pound catcher possesses a strong, athletic frame.  Behind the dish displays good footwork with the ability to block the ball well.  Pop times were 1.94-2.06 and was 75 mph from the crouch.  Shows a clean transfer with quick feet.  Offensively, the LHH hits from an athletic setup with wide feet.  Smooth load back with a short stride.  Gets good use of his lower half with good balance throughout.  Showcased good bat speed with a long, level path to the ball.  Line drive hitter with occasional pull-side power.  Registered an exit velo of 86 mph.  

6/25/14: 5 foot-11 inches/175 pounds. L/R, 2.06-2.26 pop time. Athletic catcher with a strong arm and good feet. Handled pitchers well. Soft hands and a good exchange. Was a battler at the plate, good situational hitter, balanced stance with a short stride, fast bat on a level path to the ball. Line drive hitter.

2/22/14:  5-foot-11, 175 pound sophomore displays good footwork and gains ground on his throws. Exchange is clean. Little wasted movement on his throws. Gets tall in his stance. Pop times were 2.0-2.11 and consistently on the bag. Offensively the LHH hits from a slight crouch with above average bat speed. Swing plane is uphill.  Ability to drive the gaps.   

6/11/13: Watson is a 5-foot-10, 165 pound 2016 catcher. Produced pop times between 2.18-2.39.  Mechanically gains a lot of ground.  Arm action is short and fairly quick.  Hits well from the left side with a balanced setup.  Produces good bat speed getting the barrel through the zone consistently. Ability to drive the gaps, projectable pop for a 2016.
