Kyren Power, 1B/LHP, Avon HS, 2020, 6 foot 2, 205 pounds, showed a lot of controlled bat speed with an easy load and good move to separate to a really good launch position. Had an exit velo of 92 mph. Feet move really well at 1B and he threw 80 mph across the diamond. Kyren has a chance with his frame and bat speed with balance to be a really good 2020 bat follow.
2020 1B/LHP prospect hits from the right side tall setup in box, uses leg lift as trigger. Stride to contact point is long and he tended to over stride a couple of times causing back side to collapse. Showed good bat speed through the swing with a short and compact bat path. Posted an exit velo of 88. On the mound pitches from high ¾ arm slot, arm action is loose and long. Arm speed is average. Did also drop arm slot at times to true 3/4. FB sat 78-79 T80 with some life. Mixed in CB at 71-74 with some late action.
6-foot-2, 195 pound first baseman has a long, level swing with above average bat speed. Line drive approach. Physical, strong. Long stride, backside tends to collapse. Average balance.
