2/23/2019: Jacob Murphy, SS/RHP, Center Grove HS, 2023, 5 foot 6, 145 pounds, is a good combination of arm speed bat speed for a younger player. Threw 88 mph from the outfield and had an exit velo of 85 mph. In the infield he Threw 84 mph with average feet and a slower release. At the plate he shows good rhythm , has early hand load and swing works a little downhill. On the mound, Jacob showed a FB at 76-79, CB with good shape at 67-69, and a CH 72-73. It will be interesting to see Jacob’s too set grow over the coming years as he continues to mature.
