6/25/15: The 6-foot-1 225 pound pitcher sat 80-82 with the fastball. Fastball was straight.   Arm slot is high ¾ with above average arm speed.   Balance is good throughout delivery. 12/6 Breaking ball was 66-67 with early, gradual break.  Filled up strike zone.  Pitches from a 3/4 slot with some arm speed.  Long, loose arm action.  Regular effort with some rhythm in the delivery.  Good line to the plate. 

7/29/14: 6 foot, 200 pounds, 7.86/60, Athletic with a good feel for the game. Arm action is short, ¾ and easy,  his throws are on target with average carry ( 71 mph). He has average hands, fluid feet and a clean ball exchange. He hits from an open stance with a short, smooth stride. He gets extension through contact. Line drive hitter that hits to all fields. On the mound his fastball is 77-80 mph with slight downhill plain, slider is 63 mph with gradual movement.

4/25/14 Game Notes: Jackson Bland is a 5'10/180 sophomore with a strong lower half and shows some projectable velocity as he continues to mature. The fastball has inconsistent run action, but when present it is heavy on righties. Sitting 76-78, the fastball stays up at times. Bland's out pitch at the moment is a 12/6 breaking ball with some late movement. An over the top delivery and solid technique on the bump will allow Bland to produce as he gets stronger. With more time on the mound, Bland could easily increase his command of both pitches and add 4-5 mph.
