Lake Central High School, Class of 2023; 5-foot-9, 133-pound SS/2B. At the plate, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 75 mph. Starts slightly preloaded in an open stance. Has a leg kick, a level swing plane and a high, one-handed finish. He gets off his back foot well. In the infield, he recorded a position velocity of 78 mph. He moved well laterally and got to balls well up the middle. Throws from a side slot. Recorded a time of 8.04 in the 60-yard dash.
2/23/2019: Hunter Snyder, SS/2B, Lake Central HS, 2023, 5 foot 8, 125 pounds, continued to show why we like this young kid with his bounce defensively and his smooth left handed swing. He did increase his exit velo to 77 mph at this event. As Hunter continues to get stronger it will be interesting to see because he has a nice skill set already.
1/21/19 - Young prospect stands in at 5-foot-8, 120 pounds. Has feel from the left side of the box, athletic-open setup, smooth load, short stride, good use of the lower half. Average bat speed, uphill swing path, fluid rhythm. Good approach for his age with rhythm. High exit velocity of 74. Defensively, average hands, quick-fluid feet, quick-clean exchange, plays through the baseball with athleticism. Short, loose arm action, throws topped out at 71. 8.12 runner in the 60.
