4/2/18 Spring Scout Blog: The young IU commit is a nice looking prospect as he displayed his two way ability. Working out of the pen, Groher gave up HRs to start his outing but settled in and showed some upside on the bump. Sat 79-81 T82 with FB that he could locate to either side of the plate from high 3/4 slot. Had some command issues early on. Spun a lot of CBs during his outing that he showed good feel for. CB was 65-67 and showed potential as future out pitch. At the plate Groher showed a nice stroke from the left side and good barrel awareness. Took an outside FB to LCF for single and went pull side 2B late in the game. Hits from upright slightly open stance with good bat path through the zone. Showed soft hands and above avg arm strength from 3B as well. Solid '21 prospect to watch develop over the next 3 years.
