Good usage of fastball and breaking ball in the zone. At the plate, he has a balanced setup with good balance. Bat speed is fast. Produced solid contact at the plate. Exit velocity topped at 89.
10/18/15: PITCHING- 6-foot-6, 170 pound southpaw pitches from a long, high ¾ arm action with quick arm speed. Good balance point. Easy effort with smooth rhythm in the delivery. Stays in line to the plate, lands square, athletic finish. Fastball was kept down in the zone at 78-80. Breaking ball is down in the zone at 67-69 but erratic. Changeup sat 70-73 also down in the strike zone.
Tall, lanky frame at 6-foot-6, 170 pounds. Ran a 7.64-60 and was 79 across the diamond. Offensively, hits from an open, crouch type setup. Stride is short. Over rotates the lower half. Displays good balance. Average bat speed with an uphill swing plane. Line drive hitter. Choppy rhythm. Recorded a high exit velocity of 87 mph.
