True freshman. 6-foot-3, 185-pounds with a projectable frame. The southpaw impressed with his four-pitch arsenal, starting with his 85-86 mph fastball that reached up to 20” of horizontal run and a max IVB of 17.1. His slider looked to be his best off-speed offering, playing with 2/8 shape (T2468 RPM) at 70-72 mph and controlling it around the zone. His curveball sat 63-68 mph, playing with 1/7 shape and reaching just under 2,400 RPM, struggling to locate and missing up in the zone. His final offering was a changeup at 79-80 mph that faded heavily to his arm-side (20” max HM).

Foster McDonald, Huntington North, 2022, IN
Position: LHP/1B
Body: 6-foot-3, 185-pound projectable build.
Pitching: Feel delivery, high effort. high ¾ arm angle, some arm speed, long arm action. Uphill shoulders, a falling off finish.
FB: T83. 80-82 mph. (Max spin 2218; Avg 2079). Arm side accuracy, running action.
Tall lean and projectable build to fill out and mature stronger. Starts his delivery in middle of diamond with a front forward side step, which leads after, starting squared to start. Ball and glove in front of his chest. Creates a quick, tempo high leg kick, high hand pump separation. Goes deep to well on backside. Has high front glove side. Hides ball well. Arm slot is H 3/4. Gets to front side with a crossfire landing. Has a head dive that pulls him to right side of delivery and affects direction of his line to the plate. Fastball is straight for a LHP by tradition but is accurate. Curveball has small tight spin, with a straight changeup. Slider has short dart action. From stretch displays that high front side glove with a quick tempo. FB 81-83, CB 66-68, CH 74-76, SL 75-73.

6-foot-2, 180-pound LHP/1B. On the mound, he used a ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action while showing average arm speed to the plate. He is a tall-and-fall type pitcher and uses some effort in his delivery. He has hard action on his running fastball. His fastball came in at 73-76 mph and topped out at 76 mph. His 66-67 mph curveball had depth when he located it low in the zone. His changeup (68-70 mph) worked best in combination with his fastball.
