2/23/2019: Eli Watson, 3B/OF, Providence HS, 2021, 6 foot, 150 pounds, continued to show good bat speed and a good left handed swing on balance. Exit velocity rose to 85 mph at this event. Also saw his velo across the diamond climb to 77 mph and has the actions to stay at 3rd base.
1/6/2019: Eli Watson, 3B/OF, Providence HS, 2021, 6 foot, 150 pounds, with plenty of room to fill out, he already has really good bat speed for his frame. He hits out of a slightly open stance, and is using his lower half much better since last time we saw him, and had a ma exit velo of 83. Has great barrel and body position once his front foot lands to hit. Defensively, showed above average actions at 3B and had a position velo of 75.
6/12/18: 2021 1B prospect out of Providence. Hits from the left side open tall setup in box. Showed good rhythm in swing. Uses big leg lift as trigger with hand/bat wrap. Gets good extension on swing and bat speed is average. Sprayed line drives using the middle part of the field. Showed good feel and actions around the bag at 1B. Prospect to follow as body develops and strength is added.
