2017 Spring Scout Blog:  5-foot-10, 203 pound sophomore right-handed hitter has some bat speed and aggressiveness in the box.  Uphill path, quick hips and barrel turn.  Balanced setup, smooth back load.  Good usage of lower half.  Defensively, left-handed throwing first baseman has good feel for the bag and use of the glove.  Picked multiple short hops throws from across the infield. 

3/5/17:  The 5-foot-10, 203 pound first baseman hits from a slight crouch with short stride and above average bat speed.  Line drive approach.  Slightly uphill path, compact swing.  Good balance.  Finds the barrel consistently.  High exit velocity of 89mph.  On the mound, Winkly sat 75-76 with the fastball for strikes.  Breaking ball has 12/6 shape with gradual break.  Change-up has some fade, stays straight.  Stays in line, lands squared.  Arm action is short with a high 3/4 slot.  Average arm speed.
