Showed good footwork and athletic actions in the field. His exchange is clean and his glove works; threw from a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.67. On the mound, showed athletic ability had a long, quick arm action. Fastball showed good command; breaking ball had its best depth low in the zone. Produced groundball outs in the game. His fastball came in at 69-72 mph and topped out at 73 mph. His 58-60 mph curveball had depth when he located it low in the zone.
1/6/2019: Dylan Hogan, SS/2B, Floyd Central HS, 2022, 5 foot 8, 135 pounds, showed solid balance and rhythm out of a slightly open stance. Got on plane pretty well for a young hitter. Was light on his feet defensively and had a good release across the diamond. Was 70 mph across the diamond and had an exit velo of 73. As his frame fills out, his tools will catch up with his athleticism.
