Evansville North High School, Class of 2022; 5-foot-6, 150-pound 1B/3B. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 74 mph. He had a balanced, open stance and rested his bat on his shoulder. He used a toe tap and had a slightly uphill bat path. In the infield, his position velocity was registered at 71 mph. He recorded a 60 time of 8.23.
7/24/18: 2022 1B hits from the left side. Open setup in the box. Hands stay inside baseball. Bat path is level through the zone. Used lower half better than last time we saw him earlier in the summer. Posted an exit velo of 75. Showed some pull side ability, with line drives. Continues to be a sound defender in the field. Keeps feet moving at all times in the field playing through the baseball and exchange across the diamond. Arm strength was 67 across the diamond.
6/26/18: 2022 CIF/RHP prospect hits from the left side. Uses upright narrow setup in box. Toe tap trigger. Stride is short to contact point. Hands stay inside of baseball throughout swing, doesn’t not get good extension out in front. Bat speed was average for age and posted an exit velo of 71. Bat path is short and compact through the zone. Showed pull side ability. At 3B showed decent actions, quick footwork and clean exchange for age. Did play through the baseball with fluidness. Arm strength is average at 65. On the mound pitches from high ¾ arm slot. Quick arm speed for age, arm stroke is full circle and loose. Repeated delivery well for age. Tempo is quick to the plate. FB sat 68-69. Tended to slow arm speed for CB at 57-59. Also slowed arm speed for CH at 56.
