8/21/16: The 5-foot-11 170 pound infielder showcased fluid glove work and a clean exchange up the middle.  Arm is short, quick with accurate throws that topped at 81mph.  At the plate, he hits from an athletic setup with a compact swing.  Produces solid contact.  Good feel for the strike zone.  On the mound, Gross throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with good rhythm in his delivery.  Fastball sat 80-81 with an 82 sprinkled in.  Breaking ball has 10/4 shape and sat 70-71.  Change-up ranged between 74-76 with good depth and command to the arm side.

10/18/15: 5-foot-10, 150 pounds, pitches from a high ¾ arm action with some arm speed.  Arm action shows a wrap.  Good balance point with regular effort.  Closed, uphill shoulders, lands closed.  Works across the body with a slight side saddle delivery.  Inward turn.  Fastball was 76-78, runs away from RHH’s.  Breaking ball shows gradual movement at 61-65 from a 10/4 shape.  Changeup is thrown with near fastball arm speed showing some sink at 70-74.
