5/16/16 Game Notes: The top ranked unsigned player in Indiana's 2016 pitched 4 innings, allowing just 2H 0R, 0BB while striking out 3 against Pendleton Heights Monday evening.  Poiry pitches from a low 3/4 slot with average arm speed.  The velocity wasn't as high as we've seen in the past, but it had good run throughout the night.  His fastball sat 83-85, touching an 86 and an 87.  Threw a couple of firm breaking balls at 70-72.

6/25/15: The 6-foot-3 200 pound right-handed pitcher sat 84-86 with slight run.  Arm action is low ¾ with some arm speed.  Balance is average and sometimes rushed. Good line to the plate, landing square with an athletic finish.  Fastball was thrown for strikes.  Breaking ball was thrown at 67-70mph with gradual break and 10/4 shape.  Offensively, he has a balanced setup and short stride.  Bat speed is above average with a short bat path.  Tendency to pull off.  Carter ran a 7.12 60 and had an exit velocity of 92.  In the field possesses sure hands with fluid feet.  Exchange was quick and clean  Has carry on his throws across the field at 85 mph.  

6/25/14: 6 foot-3 inches/ 185 pounds, On the mound he threw from a low ¾ slot with a quick, loose delivery. Fastball was 82-86mph with hard sink and in the zone. Slider 71-73 mph with very little movement.  With the bat he hit from a balanced stance with a short stride, dives at the ball, hits of front foot, slap hitter. Has average hands with the glove, fluid feet and a good ball transfer with plus range to his glove side.
