2/23/2019: Brett Sherrard, SS/RHP, Bloomfield HS, 2023, 5 foot 9, 128 pounds, shows athleticism for his age offensively, defensively, and on the mound. Ran a 7.63 with a good stride for a young guy, threw 79 mph across the infield, and had an exit velo of 77 mph. Shows twitchy bat speed at the plate from the left side, and added weight and strength will only help the balance and leverage in the future swing. Defensively is raw at SS, would profile more as a CF at this point. On the mound his fastball was 75-77. Delivery is athletic, arm action is a bit long with a lacking front side. Did show good feel for his CH and average feel for his breaking ball. Brett is a solid follow in the 2023 class.
