+ RHP (Lane Tech, 2025) The uncommitted right-handed pitcher was money in his 3.1 innings. He fell behind in some counts, which led to some easy base knocks but controlled the game with runners in scoring position and really did his best work to prevent runners from scoring. His fastball worked in the 84-86 mph range, while having showcased the ability to run it up into the upper 80’s at Prep Baseball Illinois’s Preseason All-State. The breaking ball showed some tilt and leverage down in the zone with depth that got bad swing and missed against lefties. When he got ahead early in counts, he was really tough to hit for the opponent. 2 walks in 3 innings wasn’t great and shows room for refinement but did show some pulse with 3 K’s in clutch moments. In the 2nd inning with runners in scoring position and 1 out, he delivered two back to back strikeouts to end the frame without giving up a run. The arm works from a short ball to ear height action with late release out of hand. He should continue to see opportunities and eat up innings with a strong frame at 6 foot 2 and 200 pounds.
