The first of three uncommitted prospects on this list, Kwasny flat-out dominated for Top Tier Americans in relief on Saturday evening. He ran his fastball up to 90 mph multiple times, sitting at 87-89 mph with downhill tilt created from a high release point. Kwasny landed a low-70s curveball for strikes in any count and commanded a 72-74 mph changeup around the lower third of the zone throughout his outing. His mentality on the mound is worth mentioning, as Kwasny has long been known to our staff as a bulldog-type that attacks hitters with confidence. At a lanky 6-foot-5, 220-pounds, Kwasny could comfortably add quality mass onto his frame over the next few years and see an even greater uptick in his stuff. He’s one of the top prospects in the Illinois’ 2023 class that’s still on the market.
4/12/22
Uncommitted, Ranked No. 47 in the Illinois 2023 Class. 6-foot-5, 220-pound, strong, physical frame. Played third base and hit in the three-hole for Lincoln-Way East. Showed off his easy pull-side power twice during the game, with a double off the wall in the first inning and a sac-fly to deep left-center field that scored two runs later in the game. In the field, showed athleticism and body control on a slow roller, making an accurate throw across the diamond.

Kwasny is another arrow-up offensive prospect on this Top Tier Americans 17U squad, as the 6-foot-4, 210-pound physical specimen continued to drive balls with authority at our PBR at The Rock Fall Championships. He routinely showed impact-type contact off the barrel, and controls his levers well to stay short through the zone given his size. The relative ease that Kwasny produces hard contact with is what has him penciled in as another middle-of-the-order type bat at the next level.
