Missed start in Fremd’s opener dealing with illness; started against Prairie Ridge. Displays confidence on the mound, gets the ball and goes to control at-bats. Quick-paced delivery, front side opens early at times, works out of a high ¾ slot with notable arm strength. Works off the fastball, pitched at 83-85 mph but can run it up to 88-89 when necessary. Fastball, heavy, arm-side run, thrown for strikes. Curveball, flashed late bite, earned swings and misses, 72-76 mph. Changeup, some arm-side run/fade, 76-78 mph. Cruised through four innings, and ran into trouble in the fifth; finished with 4.2 innings pitched, allowed two earned runs on three hits, two walks, and struck out six.ect.
