4/25/23

Wabash Valley JC signee. Athletic frame with lean strength. Toed the rubber for Nashville in an eventual win over Triad, striking out 10 over 8 â…“ innings of one run ball. Hands rock over head to start, simple tall/fall delivery, quick athletic mover, finishes out front and repeats without much effort. Arm works from a high ¾ slot with arm speed out front. Fastball sat 88-90 mph early, settling in at 85-87 mph as his outing went on. Played mostly straight, worked downhill at times with comfort to spot at the knees, did climb the ladder with to challenge up in the zone. Has the potential to tap into even more velocity as he continues to physically mature. Sharp late spin on a 75-78 mph slider with depth, threw it at fastball intent and for strikes consistently. An upside athletic arm from the state’s southern region that will rise up our 2023 board next rankings update.

3/19/22

6-foot, 150-pound, wiry, right-handed pitcher with all kinds of room for continued physical development. Saw one-inning of his start against LaSalle-Peru. Athletic look, fluid delivery and projectable arm action; works long and whippy from an over-the-top slot. Fastball played mostly straight, sat mostly 83-84 mph. Ended with a no-decision. Went four innings, gave up four hits,  two runs, no walks and struck out eight. Uncommitted 2023 arm to follow.
