Illinois-Chicago commit. 6-foot-4, 185-pound right-handed pitcher, frame is lanky and lean with athleticism, tons of upside with room to fill. Came out of the pen in the third down four runs, fastball was ambushed in early count situation. Went two innings allowing six hits, four walks, five runs with four strikeouts. Deception in delivery, has tempo, waist bend at hand break, strides short with a cross body style to home, closed toe, upright finish with slight fall to third base. Arm plays long with a two-part action, shows back side, ¾ slot with present arm speed and looseness out front. Ball came out of his hand easy, some rotational as pitch count rose. Fastball flashed hard run and sink at times, 83-86 mph, missed low to his glove side. Slider has plus break and spin, slurvy shape with late bite, didn’t go to it until later in the game and generated plenty swings and misses, 73-76 mph.

Live, loose arm, smooth throughout with athletic finish. Fastball jumped from hand with natural run, located, sat 86-88 mph. Slider was just as live with late, tight, sharp sweeping action, 77-79 mph, had control. Changeup, thrown in warmups with fastball arm speed, late run and sink, 79-80 mph. Worked 2.1 innings, struck out three, walked none, allowed one hit, no runs.
