1.8.16 - Verbally committed to Grinnell College.

2/22/15- 6-foot, 160-pound, right-handed pitcher with a lanky frame. On the mound works from a side arm to low ¾ arm angle, quick arm, with a long arm action, wraps in back, with a slight hook. Full overhead tall and fall crossfire delivery with regular effort. Level shoulders with a square landing. Creates tough angle for hitters. Threw fastball for strikes down in the zone with sink at 80-81 topping out at 82 mph. Threw curveball for strikes at 67-68 mph. Changeup showed armside run at 73-74 mph.

2.15.15 - 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed pitcher works from a long, low ¾ to side arm slot, over-head windup, bends posture slightly at balance, achieving lower arm slot, loads knee over the rubber, toe down at balance point, works slightly across his body, running fastball sat 78-79 mph. Slowed arm on 66 mph slider, thrown for strikes, gradual, sweeping action. Also threw a 73 mph changeup with fading action for strikes. LaMotte repeats his delivery and pounds the zone from a tough arm angle, as he adds to his fastball velocity, he has relief specialist written all over him at the collegiate level.

2/17/14 - 5-foot-10, 140-pound right handed pitcher, thin build, can add plenty of strength. Works from a full windup delivery, arm action is long, low ¾ slot. Fastball has sink, flashing run to his arm side, showed control for the zone, 76-78 mph, touched 79 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, decelerated arm action, sweeping action, 58-62 mph. Changeup has sink, showed above average feel for the pitch, 67-69 mph. Lamotte has high projection, his arm works clean from a unique slot which adds movement down in the zone.
