Spoon River JC signee. Threw one inning of relief for Morton and struck out two. Attacked the zone for strikes with his 83-85 mph fastball, played firm out of the hand with carry through the zone. Showed a sweeping breaking ball at 74-75 mph with quality spin, topping out at 2472 rpm.

Athletic presence on the mound with a lively arm that was loose. Was in command of all three of his pitches that worked off each other nicely. Fastball was 80-83 mph with run. Change-up had superb depth and was a quality strikeout pitch. Slider was spun well in the low-70s. Struck-out two to finish the game.

Loose and easy moving arm on the mound. Fastball sat 81-83 mph, T84 mph. Slider was in the mid-70s with efficient bite. Both pitches filled up the zone and came out of the hand simply.

Uncommitted. Stands in athletic 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Suttles threw 1 â…” innings in relief, striking out three, allowing no hits or runs. Showed a two-pitch mix in the outing with a fastball that sat 80-82 mph with some arm-side run and a curveball that sat 64-65 mph with 11/5 break. Suttles worked quick and showed confidence on the mound, attacking hitters with both pitches, in any count. This was our staff’s second look at the uncommitted junior this spring, and he showed well yet again.

Uncommitted. Started on the mound and threw three innings with two strikeouts, two walks, three earned runs, and four hits. Stands in an athletic frame with room to add strength. Showed composure, mixed his pitches and showed the ability to throw any pitch in any count against a tough lineup. Athletic and repeatable delivery, tall and fall delivery, works in-line. Long, loose arm action, high ¾ slot, acceleration out front. Fastball sat 80-83 mph, topped out at 84 mph with arm-side run. Curveball sat 66-69 mph with 11/5 shape, thrown for strikes. Changeup sat 68-70 mph with some fade.
