5-foot-7 135-pounds. Nick Hines was pounding the zone for Rake City Gold against Halos National not allowing a single walk through four innings. Mechanically, the lefty throws with a lower ¾ arm slot allowing him to have heavy run on his fastball, posing a threat to left handed batters. He follows through with his right foot pointing toward the left-handed batters box. Most of his fastballs ended up arm side, however he has the ability to effectively throw glove side as well. He has a fastball which topped 78 mph and was consistently 74-77 mph with a slider that was 63-65 mph. With the run he has in his fastball, the fastball slider combo can pose a threat to hitters.
