3.16.18 - McKendree commit. 6-foot, 215-pound, thick, strong lower half, right-handed pitcher. Started and got the win on the mound for Triad. Worked six innings, scattered five hits, allowed one earned run, struck out nine and walked five. Long, over-the-top arm action, used a heavy fastball/curveball combination to keep the Normal West hitters off balance throughout. Fastball worked straight, downhill angle at times, 81-83 mph, touching 84. Curveball worked 12/6 to 11/5, got a number of swing and misses, feel, 68-70 mph. Also, reached base three times in the win.
