4/5/14 - The Illinois State commit left after five shutout frames due to pitch count, but was dominant in coming away with the win. Tall, erect posture at balance point allows for straight-over-the-top arm slot. Fastball sat 84-87 all game, touching 88 in the first. Fastball showed cut to glove side. Located well down and away to righties. Had ability to throw fastball to both sides of the plate. Added and subtracted from 71-76 mph curveball with true 12-6 action. Showed ability to throw it for a strike early, and then bury it down late in the count at 75-76. Sparingly used 80 mph change. Repeats arm slot with all three pitches. Struck out six in five innings of work, walking one with one HBP.

2/17/13 - Short stocky build, 5-foot-10, 180-pound right handed pitcher. High level arm in the Class of 2014, electric stuff, lively arm. Showed improved feel for secondary pitches. Delivery shows rhythm, slow through balance point, some coil at balance point. Arm works quickly, operates from a high ¾ arm slot, loose arm. Fastball has late life, showed command, 86-87 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape, features sharp bite, plus action, 73-75 mph, thrown with command at the bottom of the zone, projects as a plus out pitch.
