Chrsitian Brothers commit. 6-foot-2, 190-pound, right-handed pitcher got the start on the mound for the Panthers. Went four innings, scattered two hits, no earned runs, struck out nine and walked one. Did not have the same kind of mid-to-upper 80’s velocity we saw last year during the state playoff run but was dominant nonetheless. Worked primarily in the low-80’s but showed off the same advanced slider we have become accustomed to seeing. Worked at 72-73 mph with late horizontal 10/4 action and tight spin. Changeup worked 71-72 mph.

Larson is a long and lean 6-foot-2 152-pound right-handed hitting third baseman and right-handed pitcher in Illinois' 2022 class. He ran a 4.78 home to first and has an 80 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced set up, hands load with stride, in line stride, middle of the field approach, level bat path. On the infield, quick to the ball with footwork, quick catch and throw, loose over the top arm slot with long arm circle, accurate throws, 80 mph positional velocity, projection in build. On the mound, Larson has a quicker tempo, over the top arm slot, compact delivery with no wasted movement, repeatable, lands slightly closed, finishes in athletic finish, fastball at 78-79 mph, some with slight running action, breaking ball at 70-71 mph, 12-to-6 shape, change up with slight sink at 76 mph, throws with fastball arm speed, projection in build and arm action.
