Showed well in front of our staff with two doubles on the day. He has quick hands to and through the baseball. Has a good carry and backspin on every ball he struck. He gets on plane early and is strong throughout his swing. Fielding wise he is clean in the field. Knows how to come get the short hop at third and can make a throw on the run with velocity. He has smooth hands and quick transfer from glove to throwing arm slot.

The rising sophomore showed a fuller athletic build at 5-foot-8, 160-pounds. At the plate, the right-handed hitter sets up sinking into his legs with the toe of the leading foot pointing inward, presenting loose hands and rhythm. He gets into an athletic place to hit with a flat bat path. Defensively, the third baseman showed quality actions and instincts, making some athletic plays. An outgoing personality in the clubhouse, his coach had good things to say about his work ethic and versatility.

Wade, an extremely athletic 5-foot-8, 160-pound frame, stood out for the Illinois Braves Saturday afternoon. Wade doubled in his first at-bat, then proceeded to walk two times. The right-handed hitter was calm in the box with a quick, level swing. Where Wade really showed well was on the defensive side of the ball. Every ball hit towards him was handled confidently with fluid feet and hands working through the ball. He showed an impressive arm that worked from multiple angles. Wade demonstrated hustle and effort laying out for balls.
