Started on the mound and hit cleanup for the Broncos as well as shifting to centerfield after his five innings of work. Offensively, Patterson hit the hardest ball on the day against Riverside-Brookfield roping an RBI triple to the opposite field one-hoping the right field fence. The run gave his team a two-run cushion going into the bottom of the seventh inning. Hits from an open stance, wrap load, big leg lift trigger. Loose hands, long, uphill bat path, power hitter type with present strength at the plate. Finished 1-for-2 with two runs, one RBI and a walk. Tracked balls well in the outfield, moved well laterally and caught balls in rhythm. On the mound, simple leg up and down delivery, works in line with occasional hip lead, athletic finish. Short arm on back side, loose out front, present arm speed, high ¾ slot, easy effort involved, looked to be more in the tank.
